Here’s my heater, I dare you to hit it

You’ve heard of switch hitters, but other than the occasional whiffle ball prodigy, switch pitching is virtually unheard of.  Pat Venditte is changing that, as he has brough his ambidextrous pitching style to the Yankees this spring.

The young 24 year old out of Creighton realizes that his unorthodox style may be the only way he can make the majors. “I don’t have overpowering stuff from either side, so I think I need this to continue pitching,” Venditte said.  The former walk-on with the Jays will likely start the season in single A with the Tampa Yanks.
